I’ve heard that Vaseline can help get rid of blackheads, but I’m not sure if it’s true. Is this just an old wives’ tale?

Vaseline is not typically recommended for getting rid of blackheads. While it may seem like it could help by moisturizing the skin, it is not formulated specifically to treat blackheads. For blackhead removal, it’s best to use products specifically designed for that purpose, such as salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or clay masks. Consistent cleansing, exfoliation, and maintaining a good skincare routine are usually more effective than using Vaseline alone.
