Fungal pimples, also known as fungal acne or pityrosporum folliculitis, have characteristics that differentiate them from bacterial acne. Fungal acne tends to appear as small, uniform, itchy bumps that are similar in size and often clustered together. They can sometimes have a reddish appearance and may not have the typical whitehead or blackhead associated with bacterial acne. If you suspect you have fungal acne, it’s best to consult a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
