I’ve heard that Vaseline can help get rid of blackheads, but I’m not sure if it’s true. Is this just an old wives’ tale?

Applying Vaseline to your skin can create a barrier that may help lock in moisture and protect the skin, but there is no scientific evidence to suggest that it can effectively get rid of blackheads.
Blackheads are typically caused by clogged pores, and using products specifically designed to unclog pores, such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, may be more effective in treating them.
