Those little white balls that come out of pimples are called sebaceous filaments. They are a mixture of dead skin cells, excess sebum, and bacteria trapped in the hair follicle. Sebaceous filaments are normal and different from whiteheads, blackheads, or milia. They are not harmful and are a natural part of the skin’s oil balancing mechanism.
