When you notice white strings coming out of a pimple, it could possibly be sebum and dead skin cells that have gathered within the pore. These substances can mix together and form a plug that pushes to the surface of the skin, creating the appearance of white strings or a whitehead. It is essentially a combination of oil and debris that has clogged the pore.
